There are rumblings that Paula Abdul may join next season’s Dancing with the Stars as a contestant — but will the rumors ever come to light?

Paula Abdul graced Dancing with the Stars last night — as an audience member and super fan of the uber-popular dance competition.

Paula Abdul commented, “I’m a huge fan. I absolutely love this show.”

But will Paula Abdul join Dancing with the Stars as a competitor?

According to Abdul: “Listen, it would be a phenomenal experience for me to be a student and to learn a form of dance I’ve never been introduced to. I don’t know how to do ballroom dancing. I’ve been a professional choreographer, not a professional dancer.”

Of course, scheduling her time may be an issue with her role as an American Idol judge. Time will tell, I suppose.

Pro dancer Tony Dovolani would love to team with her, saying, “I love Paula Abdul. I’ve had a crush on her for years. I hope she’s on the show. I would give my left arm to dance with her.”
