There’s been plenty of buzzing that since Anthony Edwards will return to ER for the final season, that maybe George Clooney will make a return to the drama that put him on the map as well. Clooney’s rep, however, says no – it’s not going to happen.

Still, ER fans can hope, right? ER returns for its 15th and final season September 25 and wouldn’t it be oh-so-sweet to see George Clooney back at County General?

George Clooney’s publicist says, “He is on record as saying he is not coming back. It is something he has already done. He is busy making movies.”

ER producers havev been holding out hope too, it seems, with storylines on the ready for the return of Clooney, Julianna Margulies and Eriq La Salle.
