Who is Deena Nicole Cortese… and how did she land the Jersey Shore gig?

Deena Nicole is reportedly a friend of Snooki’s, according to RadarOnline.com and she’s a clever one too, posting the following on Twitter on July 21: “Alll I need is my Beatsss..Broadssss.. and Bo0oZee..f- the men lets drink to us! byeeeee =].”

Ugh.

Deen Nicole is reportedly a 23-year-old former cheerleader who was on the cheer squad at Brookdale Community College and went to New Egypt High School in New Jersey.

According to Deena’s mom, “They’ve [Deena, Snooki} known each other for a couple of years. Snooki’s a sweetheart… I’d say they’re pretty close… Nicole lives all the way up state and it’s hard, but they keep in touch.”

Deena Nicole also is making headlines for a 2008 video where she uses the N-word, TMZ.com reports.

Look for season 2 of Jersey Shore to premiere on July 29, when we’ll see how the cast handles South Beach, Florida.

Season 3 of Jersey Shore, which will include newly cast Deena Nicole, won’t air until 2011.
