Stephenie Meyer revealed in the Oprah interview, “I’m pretty open about my writing, but there was a different ending to ‘New Moon.’ Originally it was much quieter [and] in Bella’s head.”

It was Meyer’s mom that suggested she change the ending: “I introduced the Volturi earlier than expected and that whole scene at the end is there [because my mom thought it would be better that way].”

I love the fact that Stephenie Meyer’s vision for Twilight came to her in a dream. Amazing.
