A “True Blood” beverage has been cleverly created as a tie-in for the HBO vampire series. Pre-order your True Blood beverage of choice – they’ll be available this September.

The Daily News describes the True Blood beverage: “The blood-orange carbonated drink has a slightly tart and lightly sweet flavor that is sure to taste better than the O negative blood consumed by the show’s fictional vampires.”

The True Blood beverage will be called “Tru Blood”… and, yep… it looks a bit bloody to be sure.

James Costos, vice president of licensing and retail at HBO describes the reason behind marketing the drinkable fake blood: “From its first season, fans have been enamored with the show and have expressed a keen interest in the Tru Blood beverage. We’re extremely excited to be able to bring this original drink to life.”

The True Blood “synthetic blood nourishment beverage” comes in blood types such as A, B, AB, and O.
