Travis Barker Plane Crash, Blink 182 Drummer, DJ AM Seriously Injured
Wow. Sad news about former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker involved in a plane crash this morning. Both Travis Barker and DJ AM were seriously injured and four people were killed during a fatal plane crash in Columbia, South Carolina early on Saturday morning.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen reports that air traffic controllers saw sparks on the private plane while it departed before midnight Friday. The plane went off the runway while attempting to take off, ran off the runway and crashed through a fence before hitting an embankment on Highway 302 before catching fire.
The plane carrying Travis Barker and DJ AM was travelling to Van Nuys, California.
Travis Barker and DJ AM were reported in critical condition and transfered to the Augusta, Georgia Burn Center.
According to federal officials, two crew members and two passengers were killed in the plane crash.
Travis Barker also starred on the MTV reality series “Meet the Barkers,” with now ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
