Host of “Top Chef,” Padma Lakshmi, is reportedly in talks to star in a comedy series for NBC.

The development deal with NBC and Universal Media Studios would have Padma Lakshmi star in her own sitcom, as “a woman working in the culinary world.”

“Single Serving” is a possible title being considered.

Padma Lakshmi isn’t such an acting newcomer, but she is still pretty green – she had acting roles in the ABC miniseries “The Ten Commandments,” “The Mistress of Spices” and “Boom,” as well as playing singer Sylk in “Glitter.”
