TLC on Jon & Kate Plus 8: “Will Continue to Air as the Interest Continues”

Finally, TLC sounds off on the future of reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 in the wake of cheating rumors and a possible divorce looming – naturally, they’re all for keeping the series around, considering the record-setting 9.8 million viewers that tuned in for the season finale.
In a statement from TLC, the network comments: “The show’s ratings have grown consistently, as there has been interest in these real-life issues of this real-life family. We will continue to air as the interest continues, and the family wants to do it.”
And there seems to be no signs of slowing on airing Jon and Kate Plus 8 – TLC has 40 episodes of J&K+8 to air… that’s double what aired last season.
