President Obama tells the ladies of The View why he’s decided to do the daytime talk show – it’s one show that First Lady Michelle Obama watches.

There has been plenty of criticism over President Obama appearing on The View, but all went well during the interview, as The View ladies pitched a variety of softball questions.

In terms of pop culture, Obama says, “I’ve got to admit I don’t know who Snooki is,” knows that “Lindsay was in jail,” and has little to say about the Mel Gibson voice recordings – “I haven’t seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while.”
