The Tyra Banks Show will be shooting it’s third season in the Big Apple, show producers announced on Wednesday.

“I’m thrilled to be moving to New York,” the Los Angeles born model exclaimed. “After spending some time in the city this past spring, I knew the energy and rhythm of the city would be great for the show. I feel connected and completely at home.”

Telepictures Productions is hoping a change of venue would give the show access to a different pool of guests.

“Moving the talk show to New York provides a great opportunity to meet all kinds of people and keep sharing the message of empowerment with everyone everywhere,” Tyra said. “The excitement of New York City will translate to the show each and every day as we continue to face compelling issues…head on.”

The show’s third season premeries Sept. 10.

Tyra’s show is currently nominated for six Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host.

This message is for Heather, she’s either a producer on the show or a booker….I’m not sure which. But she called me last week to be on the panel for “Black Men who date dark skin Black Women.” But I told her that it was too short notice. She then said that she would call me back to be on the panel for “Where are all the good men (or good black men).”

So, the nature of this email is to remind her of that. I really want to be on that panel, because I just happen to possess a plethora of knowledge, experience, and wisdom on this topic. But please ask her to give me at least a days notice. And oh yeah, if she would like to see a pic of me, tell her to turn to page 119 in this months issue of Essence (Eryka Badu on cover), “What Men Think” section.

    Thank you,
