‘The Return of Jezebel James’ Canceled After Three Episodes

Fox wasted no time in cancelling the ratings deprived “The Return of Jezebel James,” starring Parkey Posey and Lauren Ambrose.
I wanted to like “The Return of Jezebel James” (I love Parker Posey, after all), but the laugh track alone was downright distracting and it was void of much laughable moments at all.
To give you an idea of how poorly “The Return of Jezebel James” did, ratings-wise, it only grabbed 3.2 million viewers when it debuted March 14, earning the distinction of Fox’s worst 8 PM performance since “The Next Great American Band.” After just three episodes, Fox canceled “Jezebel James,” the new series from “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino.
