The Problem With Dating the Boss

Jan (Melora Hardin) and Michael (Steve Carell)

Last night, I thought The Office was hilarious, and a little bit sad. Poor Michael had to decide which was more important: his relationship with Jan or his company. Jan was fired, as we know, and she thinks it has to do with her breast implants, and she wants to sue Dunder-Mifflin for $4 million. Doesn’t seem likely that’ll happen.

Anyway, they kept bringing up Michael and Jan’s relationship. I can understand why it would be a problem, because of the whole sexual harassment thing, but that didn’t actually seem to be the problem. This couple confounds me. After Michael exposes Jan’s picture, and Jan exposes Michael’s diary, they still drive home, chatting, like nothing was wrong.

I’m glad this episode was so good, because it’s the final (new) episode until the writer’s strike is over.
