OK, I don’t entirely get the appeal of “The Hills” on MTV – yet I watch. And loads of other people watched Monday’s premiere too — grabbing The Hills its highest ratings ever.

The premiere of season 3′s first bonus episode on Monday night averaged 4.8 million total viewers, slightly edging out December’s season three “supposed” finale (4.7 million viewers).

Who knew people would be so drawn to Lauren Conrad’s drama?
