Now that the writers’ strike is behind us, what’s the future for Scrubs’ final season?

Well, the rumors are bubbling that Scrubs may move to ABC to finish out the season and potentially have another season ahead of it. What?!

Fans of Scrubs have been dying for the definitive word about Scrubs’ final season — with options including NBC allowing the show to finish its seventh season or the final episodes being available on DVD. Now comes word that ABC is scooping up Scrubs.

NBC, however, is saying that Scrubs is not making a move.

TVGuide.com’s Ausiello reports that sources confirmed that Scrubs’ producers, ABC Studios, are in discussions with the ABC network to air another season of the comedy. NBC, however, has a licensing deal with ABC Studios that allows them “first rights of negotiation and refusal.”

So, what do we know about Scrubs this season? The only thing that’s clear is that five pre-strike episodes have been filmed and NBC will air them in April and May.
