I don’t agree with much of this list but the comments section made it all worthwhile. It is obvious many unworthy shows were left off, the comments made that clear. One terrible show not mentioned was “The Ugilies”, it was as bad as its name and of course didn’t last long. The fact that a number of shows on this list lasted several seasons shows they at least weren’t awful to many people and shouldn’t have been listed here. I liked seeing the pictures though, that was a nice touch.

Full House (Ah, the wit and wisdom of Bob Sagat)
According to Jim (A show without a single original concept, whose idea was that?)
The Mommies (You remember this one, right? No? There’s a reason for that)

Not a bad list at all. But the biggest craptastic show is not even on the list.

1. “Full House”. God, that was horrendous.

I’ll also add

2. Seinfeld – I know the show turned into an american leged, and rightfully so, but how it got through the first year astounds me. Elaine wore the same dress in almost every episode, Jerry’s acting sucked, and the characters weren’t flushed out. As the show rolled on it got much better, but it should have been cancelled before the first season was over. Watch those 1st season episodes again. Look at Elaine’s hair. And that god-awful dress she used to wear.

Two I would take off the list:

1. Family Matters – I liked the Steve Urkel’s character, and thought Jaleel White played him to perfection.

2. Charles in Charge. I actually liked seeing Scott Baio outside of his Chachi role. The show focused on him and not on the rest of the family, and it worked well.

Who wrote this? I’ll admit Family Matters and Charles in Charge were terrible but they were clearly big enough to be part of the American favorites as well, otherwise, we wouldn’t remember Urkel. Also, The Nanny is often voted one of the best sitcoms to air. The only show that deserves to be here is Caveman.

Got to say, there are a lot of crappy sitcoms worse than some of the ones on this list. Most of them got mentioned, but of course the biggest omission is My Mother the Car. For other glaring omissions, check out this list of shows canceled after ONE SHOWING!
