Star Wars is on it’s way to television, says creator George Lucas. But the television adaption of the film sensation will not feature any major characters from the series’ six motion pictures.

“The Skywalkers aren’t in it, and it’s about minor characters,” Lucas said.. “It has nothing to do with Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader or any of those people. It’s completely different.”

“But it’s a good idea,” he added, “and it’s going to be a lot of fun to do.”
