Looks like the players of MTV’s reality hit “Jersey Shore” are making the town of Seaside Heights look bad.

The Borough of Seaside Heights is distancing itself from “Jersey Shore,” releasing a statement that says the town “did not solicit, promote or participate in the filming” of the series.

More importantly, the folks of Seaside Heights want you to know they’re nothing like the “Jersey Shore” cast. And neither are most of the tourists that visit the shore town.
