Saturday Night Live will kick off its 35th season with two new female cast members: Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad.

SNL starts September 18 with Weekend Update Thursdays, then the premiere of SNL airs September 26.

Jenny Slate graduated from Columbia University and has appeared on stage in comedy shows and on TV in a Verizon ad as well as in Jimmy Fallon’s The Hills parody “7th Floor West.”

Nasim Pedrad is a UCLA grad who starred in the one-woman show “Me, Myself & Iran.” Pedrad has also worked with The Groundlings, the UCB Theatre and Improv Olympics, and played Nurse Suri on ER.
