Saturday Night live kicks off its 34th season September 13 - and there’s no doubt it will be heavy on the presidential election coverage. SNL will have seven live shows prior to the November 4 Election Day. Overall, the series has been given an additional two episodes, with a total order of 22 episodes.
To further extend the political coverage, three half-hour episodes of “Saturday Night Live Weekend Update Thursday” will air at 9:30 p.m. on October 9, 16 and 23, as well as a 90-minute “Saturday Night Live Presidential Bash 2008″ to air the evening before Election Day.
