Sara Gilbert comes out
Sara Gilbert has officially come out… former Roseanne actress (and soon to be daytime co-host) Sara Gilbert announced that she’s a lesbian during a press conference at the Television Critics Association.

I guess I thought this was already well-known?

As executive producer and co-host of the daytime chatfest, “The Talk,” Sara Gilbert felt it necessary to bring up her lesbian status – she has two children with TV producer Allison Adler – Allison gave birth to son Levi, while Gilbert gave birth to daughter Sawyer.

Gilbert has never talked about her private life before, so I’m not sure why I already felt she had come out.

Sara Gilbert said during the press conference, “This is a whole new world for me. I’m not an expert on this, or I don’t analyze these things. I’m just sort of living my life.”

Gilbert added, “I don’t think [being out] will be a problem…I don’t ever really think of things as being out or in…I just think I am who I am, and when topics come up that are appropriate, I’ll talk about them and share when it seems right.”

CBS’ The Talk will be co-hosted by Gilbert, Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne and Marissa Jaret Winokour.
