Since the season finale of Grey’s Anatomy showed a flatlining Dr. George O’Malley and Dr. Isobel “Izzie” Stevens, viewers have wanted to cut to the chase and find out which one (or both?) died on the series.

E! Online’s Mark Malkin seems to have the inside scoop on the Grey’s Anatomy cliffhanger – T.R. Knight’s character, George, is dead because Knight is leaving the series.

According to Malkin, multiple sources tell him that T.R Knight is not returning next season, and has apparently wanted to get out of his contract for some time.

A source tells E!, “He hates her, and she hates him,” referring to the relationship between T.R. Knight and Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes.

Of course, neither ABC nor the Grey’s Anatomy folks are confirming this rumor.
