Roy Scheider, best known for his roles in “Jaws” and “Jaws 2,” as well as a multitude of other roles, passed away today at age 75.

Roy Scheider’s acting resume is extensive, and includes television roles, including “SeaQuest DSV,” as well as guest starring roles on “Third Watch,” “Family Guy” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”

Roy Scheider passed away at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The New York Times is reporting that Scheider’s wife, Brenda Seimer, said he “had suffered from multiple myeloma for several years, and died of complications from a staph infection.”
