Rod Blagojevich to Appear on “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here” Reality Show?

Oh, there must be some mistake – the buzz this morning is that ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich will be part of the cast of NBC’s “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” when it air this June. No, seriously. The network announced the reality show casting news itself.
The last time “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” aired was in 2003 on ABC, but the reality show is getting a new life on NBC.
Rod Blagojevich would join 9 other celebrities in a Costa Rican jungle where they face a variety of challenges. No information yet on who else has been cast.
Of couse, this all depends on whether or not Blagojevich, who allegedly tried to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat, will be convicted – he could face up to 30 years in prison.
NBC commented that “Rod Blagojevich will be a participant on the show pending the court’s approval.”
