Hip-hop pioneer Rev. Run and his wife of twelve years Justine Simmons are gearing up for the third season of their hugely successful MTV reality series, “Run’s House.”

Daughters Vanessa, twenty-three, and nineteen year old Angela have taken their collective sweet-tooth and launched their own line of fancy footwear, appropriately dubbed “Pastry.” Justine is even the other of the spiritual children’s book “Are You There God?”

And in the midst of all that joy, there’s been a tragedy. The Simmons suffered the lost of their infant daughter Victoria Anne Simmons, who died less than two hours after she was born last September 26th:

For me to get pregnant that late in my life was a miracle. The pregnancy was not easy. I didn’t eat at all. I didn’t even gain a lot of weight. For a long time the doctors couldn’t even tell [the baby's sex], and we said we know it’s a girl. I bought everything in pink for the nursery. Everything is pink; it still is. The nursery is still upstairs,” Justine recalls.

Victoria was just four pounds, five ounces when she was delivered via C-section. Halfway through Justine’s pregnancy, doctors discovered that their developing baby girl had an omphalocele, a birth defect that caused her organs to grow outside her body.

Fans of “Run’s House,” will find themselves in the unique position to witness the family, which also consist of seventeen year old Jojo, Daniel “Diggy,” twelve, and Russell, age ten, cope with the loss of Victoria.

“Despite the fact that Rev. Run calls the baby’s death “the biggest tragedy anyone could imagine,” he insisted that MTV’s cameras capture everything,” sources report.
And celebrity tattle claim “Run” fans may be in forward another front row seat, watching Justine and the Rev walk through their first adoption.

“I always wanted to adopt, but every time I mentioned it my husband would say, ‘Why not have your own baby?’” Justine says in the May issue of Essence Magazine. “We take for granted that we can just have a baby. But I couldn’t. Maybe part of the reason God let this happen is because He wanted us to adopt.”
