Reason for Nicollette Sheridans Exit from ‘Housewives’ Revealed
Nicollette Sheridan is being written off of Wisteria Lane because they need something exciting to happen in the plot, not because she wasn’t a Gem to work with! Desperate Housewives creator/Executive Produce Marc Cherry revealed, “Nicollette Sheridan has immortalized Edie Britt from the first moment she stepped foot on Wisteria Lane as the deliciously seductive and strong neighbor.”
Cherry went on to say, “The creative decision to place this character in a perilous storyline was driven by the need to continue to keep the drama fresh. It has been our great pleasure to work with Nicollette – we are all going to miss her very much.”
Are you sad to see Edie go? If you could pick any other cast member to get rid of, who would it be?

I don’t wish death on anyone, real or fictional, but Edie has got to go. She drives me crazy getting her hooks into everyone and no one telling her like it is. She does things that she’d have been dragged into the street and beaten senseless by any real-world woman and no one so much as questions her for it. I’ve been tired of it for years.
