Randy Jackson takes his talent beyond the “American Idol” judging table with his new dance competition series, “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew.” While there’s plenty of talent competitions on TV, “America’s Best Dance Crew” pits hip-hop dance groups against one another for a grand prize.

“Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew” premieres tonight, February 7 at 10 PM (ET/PT) on MTV. Mario Lopez (“Dancing with the Stars”) takes on hosting duties, while judges JC Chasez (N*Sync), hip hop artist Lil Mama and choreographer Shane Sparks (“You Got Served”) provide plenty of feedback.

Nine dance crews were chosen from “The Live Audition” special that aired January 26. “Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew” allows viewers to cast votes to determine the two weakest teams each week — those two groups have a dance off to try and stay in the competition.
