Randy Jackson’s “Best Dance Crew” Competition Comes to MTV

Yo, Dawg! “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson is teaming up with the creators of the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships to bring a new dance competition show to MTV. Right now, it’s titled “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew,” although I tend to think they can tighten it up a bit.
It’s set to air in early 2008, and will have hip-hop dance groups competing for a touring contract and cash prize. Viewers will have a say too – voting off one group each week.
Jackson is looking forward to the series, saying, “I have always wanted to do something with MTV. MTV has the biggest voice, especially as it relates to music, dance and entertainment.”
