Rachael Ray has chosen her cooking contest winner – Jenn Thomas, 25, a floral designer and bartender from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Rachael Ray’s “So You Think You Can Cook?” competition received thousands of video applications, but was narrowed down to four finalists. And Thomas wasn’t even favored to win.

According to Rachael Ray, “Everyone considered Jenn the long shot because she didn’t seem very sure of herself. It was a huge surprise that she kept knocking it out of the ballpark but once Jenn’s love of cooking took over, she forgot to be nervous. That’s why she was ultimately successful.”

As the winner of Rachael Ray’s cooking contest, Thomas receives a week of training at a culinary school, her recipes published in Rachael Ray’s magazine and a hosting gig on Ray’s “What’s for Dinner?” segment on December 5th.
