The adorable Anna Friel, star of “Pushing Daisies,” will be joining the cast of the big screen adaptaption of “Land of the Lost,” co-starring Will Ferrell.

If you’re too young to remember “Land of the Lost,” it was a trippy little live-action kids show in the 1970s — sadly, I have a vague recollection of it, so that must mean I’m old.

Anna Friel will appear in “Land of the Lost” as Will Ferrell’s love interest. The story involves Will Ferrell as a paleontologist who ends up in a prehistoric world. Here’s hoping the special effects are a little more evolved than the 1970s version.
