Who would have thought that Paula Abdul would provide the comic relief on last night’s American Idol (April 29)? And she didn’t even mean to! The snafu has many pondering this morning — was Paula Abdul drunk or on drugs? Is American Idol rigged?

As you’ve likely heard (or seen), Paula Abdul got a little confused during American Idol when the judges were supposed to comment quickly on the finalists first craptacular round of Neil Diamond songs. She mistakenly critiqued Jason Castro’s first and second songs — when he had only sung once!

What do you think? Was Paula Abdul drunk or on drugs and that clouded her thinking? Or does Paula Abdul’s mistake prove that American Idol is rigged?

My theory is that in her usual confused Paula Abdul way, she read notes she had from the dress rehearsal.
