Paula Abdul Joining Super Bowl XLII Halftime Show?

Wow, this is a shocker. Paula Abdul may be joining the Super Bowl XLII halftime show. Singing, no less!
Don’t get me wrong – I was a fan of Paula Abdul’s way back when (Cold Hearted Snake – c’mon!), but then I developed some taste in music.
It’s kind of a head scratcher as to why Paula Abdul would be on the Super Bowl halftime show. Sure, she’s a judge of uber successful “American Idol,” but when’s the last time she sang? Turns out, her last album was released in 1995.
The halftime gig is not a done deal yet, but sources say Paula Abdul is talking with the Super Bowl powers-that-be.
The Fox network has official plans for Tom Petty to headline the halftime show, so at least some talent is lined up.
