Oprah’s Book Club Pick: The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski

Oprah’s Book Club pick was today – and she chose The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski.
Apparently the Oprah Book Club secret couldn’t be kept under wraps for long, as books bearing the Oprah Book Club sticker already went on sale in advance of her announcement for book pick.
According to Oprah, David Wroblewski’s The Story of Edgar Sawtelle is “everything you want a book to be. I think this book is right up there with the greatest American novels ever written.”
In The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, a mute boy in rural Wisconsin communicates through his own form of sign language, but has a uniquely special connection with his dogs.
