Ninth Season of Scrubs? Sarah Chalke, Zach Braff Sign Six Episode Deal

I’m a longtime fan of Scrubs and I thought the season finale was about as perfect a way to wrap things up as possible… but rumors of ninth season renewal persist, and with stars Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke signing on for a six episode deal, it looks like it may push ahead.
I have no doubt there’s still life left in Scrubs, but I had made peace with the series ending and was more than thrilled with the finale. Why not end on a high note, right?
With Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke signed on for six episodes, the show can make a transition to a still as-yet-to-be-determined storyline, most likely involving the interns that were introduced this season.
Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn have also signed deals to continue as regulars – if their pilots don’t get picked up. So it’s not a done deal for any of them if they move forward with their pilots – Faison and Flynn co-star in “The Law” and “The Middle,” respectively, while McGinley will be on CBS’ drama pilot “Back.”
No word on whether Judy Reyes will return either.
Would you watch a 9th season of Scrubs?

Hmmm…interesting. As much as my husband and I love this show, I don’t think they should do another season unless the could bring back all the regular cast. Just wouldn’t be the same!
