New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) Reunion Tour – Is it True?

If New Kids on the Block (or the much cooler moniker NKOTB) are planning a reunion – and it’s a success — they could just be the comeback kids.

Question is, are people interested in seeing the boy band back for an NKOTB reunion tour? Well, I missed the New Kids on the Block craze by just a hair, so I was never a fan. Then again, the reunion tours may be false…

People magazine started the NKOTB reunion tour buzz over the weekend, saying the New Kids on the Block men (yeah, they’re not such ‘kids’ anymore) are staging a comeback – according to a “well-placed source.”

The www.nkotb.com website was even up and running again, so all signs pointed to an official announcement from Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre, Danny Wood and Jordan Knight about the New Kids reunion.

But the NKOTB reunion tour buzz may not be true…

PerezHilton.com is reporting today that the New Kids on the Block reunion tour is not true, citing an email from Danny Wood to his MySpace friends:

“Hello to everyone. Hope all is well and everyone is enjoying the New Year. I wanted to address the rumors of the NKOTB Reunion Tour. There has been no talk of this and you are getting it from source directly. Never say never, and you can’t believe everything you read.

On another note my solo record will be released in Australia in March. There are a few new songs on it and I hope you guys will check it out. Thank you so much for your continued support.

Dwood”

So, maybe NKOTB won’t be “Hangin’ Tough” right now — but maybe sometime in the future?

UPDATE: Later today, Danny Wood put up another message on his blog, saying:

“More on NKOTB…

Hi to all the New Kids On The Block fans, I wanted to clarify since my first post this morning regarding the NKOTB reunion. I loved being a part of the group, and have always thought “maybe someday we’ll get back together” – you just never know when your someday will come. I can guarantee all the fans that if this reunion were to happen, they would hear about it first on www.NKOTB.com.”

sounds like danny wood & co are trying to keep the fans in suspense a bit longer but at the same time dropping just enough of a hint by asking them to stay tuned onto http://www.nkotb.com

bring it on! NKOTB were the kings back in the 90s and they’re still the kings even now!!!!!
