MTV has announced that they are developing a two-hour remake of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show.

How much will the new MTV Rocky Horror Picture Show differ from the 1975 original? MTV plans to use the original screenplay but the new film may also have music that was not included in the Tim Curry film.

Things are still in the early stages for MTV’s Rocky Horror remake – no casting has yet been done, nor do they have a production timeline determined. It’s tentatively scheduled to air on MTV on Halloween 2009.
