I don’t know why, but I can’t get enough of The Real World/Road Rules Challenges and “The Gauntlet” on MTV. Maybe it’s seeing the MTV reality veterans come out of hiding or maybe it’s all the trash talking that goes on – oh yeah, and the challenges too, I suppose.

MTV announced that “The Gauntlet 3” will premiere on January 23rd at 10 PM (ET), with 16 veterans and 16 newbies to “fight it out for over $400,000 in cash and prizes,” according to MTV. More details and a “Gauntlet 3″ sneak peak video after the jump.

“The Gauntlet 3” was already taped in Mexico last summer and promises “insane challenges, heart-stopping Gauntlets, crazy fights, surprising alliances, unexpected departures and more hook-ups than ever.” Wow. More hook-ups than ever?

TJ Lavin will continue hosting duties. Catch “The Gauntlet 3” January 23rd at 10 PM. The cast includes some regulars, like Coral, Beth (how old is she now?), CT, Robin, Katie and Diem.
