Monk Star Stanley Kamel Found Dead, Age 65

Actor Stanley Kamel, who graces TV screens as Dr. Charles Kroger on “Monk,” was found dead yesterday at his Hollywood home. He was 65.
The actor’s reps released this statement:
“Actor Stanley Kamel was found dead in his Hollywood Hills home on Tuesday, April 8, by his long time agents and friends, Donna Massetti and Marilyn Szatmary. Cause of death at this time is unknown. …He is survived by his brothers Dr. Stephen Kamel and Robert Kamel, 5 nieces and nephews, and 6 grand nieces and nephews.”
Stanley Kamel is an accomplished character actor, with roles on “Murder One,” “Days of Our Lives,” “The Golden Girls,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Melrose Place,” “Six Feet Under” and “The West Wing.”
