Well, that was fast – Microsoft is already pulling the plug on the new ads featuring Jerry Seinfeld and Microsoft co-founder and chairman Bill Gates. While the new Microsoft ads have drawn a lot of criticism, they’re not that bad (I found them entertaining!).

Microsoft spokesman Frank Shaw is saying that the ads aren’t getting yanked due to the negative reaction, rather, it was planned this way. Uh-huh.

“All along we said we were having a teaser campaign,” Shaw said. “We’re getting ready to start the second phase. This was the plan all along.”
