Michelle Obama yellow inauguration dress
Watching the presidential inauguration today, you may have noticed Michelle Obama’s beautiful yellow dress. No doubt, all eyes will be on Michelle Obama’s fashion choices for years to come.

Michelle Obama is pictured here with Barack Obama – she’s wearing a dress and matching yellow coat by Isabel Toledo, a Cuban-born designer.

According to the designer, Michelle Obama’s inauguration dress is made of Swiss wool lace, backed with netting and lined in French silk. Toledo said of the dress, “I wanted to pick a very optimistic color, that had sunshine. I wanted her to feel charmed, and in that way would charm everybody.”

If people want to complain about the price Michelle Obama’s clothes or the lack there of, I think Michelle Obama should ask them how much they think she should be spending on her clothes and then write that amount on a check to a homeless shelter. I admire her desire to live within her means, why spend thousands of dollars on a dress, when that money could be used to help the American people get back on their feet.
