Michelle Obama is taking some knocks for her white inaugural ball gown, but I think it was absolutely stunning. Michelle Obama’s ball gown was designed by Jason Wu, the 26 year old Taiwan-born, Manhattan-based designer who was a former intern of Narciso Rodriguez.

Jason Wu’s line started in 2006 and while Ivanka Trump, Lisa Cant, and supermodel Amber Valletta have worn his designs, no doubt Michelle Obama’s white inaugural ball gown will get him the most exposure.

Jason Wu recently won the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star award.
