Ok, I’m not an American Idol fan, so someone will have to explain this to me – why would that kid sabotage his own performance of Mr. Tambourine Man? It had a very phony feel to it; I really think he messed it up on purpose for some reason – it felt clearly fake. Vocalists certainly forget lyrics sometimes, but not usually on the easiest, hookiest part of the chorus. The whole performance was so noticeably boring and bad, and then those last few corny notes – it sounded like your drunk hippie cousin at a weddding, or one of the fake performances Amer. Idol uses in the early part of the season to make things funnier. So what’s up with that?
