Maura Tierney is making her return to television – look for Tierney to reprise her role on FX’s “Rescue Me” during season 7.

Rescue Me co-creator Peter Tolan says of Maura Tierney’s return: “We loved working with her — that was kind of a big deal to get her. We have a deal where we can use her for four episodes. And since we have that deal, we will take advantage of it.”

Tierney was to play a role in Parenthood, but had to drop out of the NBC drama for breast cancer treatment.

According to her rep: “She has finished treatment and is doing very well and is happy to move forward with the next phase of her life.”
