The failure of “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” can’t keep former “Friends” star Matthew Perry away from TV. Matthew Perry is set to join Showtime’s “The End of Steve,” a dark comedy where he plays a talk show host.
Matthew Perry will also write and serve as executive producer on “The End of Steve,” along with “Rescue Me” co-creator and executive producer Peter Tolan.
According to Zack Van Amburg, co-president at Sony Pictures Television, “This role will show fans that he can be not only funny but also reach to some dark places. It will be a departure from the way America thinks of Matthew. This is the beginning of a really exciting journey.”
