Well, that’s what Ellen DeGeneres said anyway – when Mariah Carey stopped by the talk show to push her new fragrance.

As Ellen welcomed Carey to the show, she commented, “You smell a little like s’mores.”

“I’m not really a fragrance girl. I don’t really like scents,” Carey said as she sprayed DeGeneres with M by Mariah Carey, “[But, the company] was like, ‘We want this to be a representation of you.’ The marshmallow element you smelled before is the top note and was a subliminal thing – just to give you little campfire memories.”

Marshmallow scent. Interesting.

DeGeneres offered up her signature scent of “gin and Marlboros. When you come home [with it on], they’re like, ‘You’ve been out. … No, I have Ellen’s perfume on!’ “
