Mandy Patinkin, who played Special Agent Jason Gideon on “Criminal Minds” has officially left the show, citing “creative differences” as the reason for his departure. Last week, word leaked out that although he was a central character in the first episode for the coming season, Gideon had to be written out of the episode when Patinkin failed to report for work. Reps on both sides state that it had nothing to do with contracts or salary.

Mandy Patinkin leaving Criminal Minds got people thinking all sorts of things but from a realible source on the internet, how ironic, said that Patinkin did not show up to a table reading session that caused him to be taken off the show… while some are saying that he just wanted to spend more time with this family, I have to agree with about him not showing up to the table reading that caused this havic. I know some fans are sad about him leaving but there will be other shows for them to catch onto. As for myself, as much as I think Patinkin’s character can’t be replaced, I’m just going to go on with my TV live and there’s a new show that has gotten my attention 100%. Anyone hear of the new mini-series that is going to be Spike TV to be premiered on July 22nd @ 9pm? It’s called “The Kill Point” starring Donnie Wahlberg as a negotiator and John Leguizamo to be behind a bank heist. It’ll be nothing but action and suspense. I know this because I work with them and if you haven’t had the chance to see it yet, check out http://killpoint.spiketv.com!
