Women everywhere are crying over the news that hot pro dancer Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy won’t appear on this season’s “Dancing with the Stars.” WHY?!!

Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy has decided to pursue other projects during his break from the successful dance competition, depsite placing second twice (with Leila Ali and Mel B.) on “Dancing with the Stars.”

According to Maks,”There are a lot of things in the works that I want to tend to. People say this show opens doors, but you’re so busy doing the show, that you’re not able to use the doors.”

Rest easy, ladies. Maksim will be back for the following season (seven) of “Dancing with the Stars” — and may appear on results shows this season during group dances.

The sixth season “Dancing with the Stars” contestants will be announced on Monday’s “Dance War” finale (as well as Tuesday’s Good Morning America). “Dancing with the Stars” premieres March 17th.
