Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Maks) and Karina Smirnoff Engaged

Dancing with the Stars pros Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are about to waltz their way down the aisle – Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff are engaged!

And – so adorable – Maks and Karina got engaged just before the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve.

Question is – when did the two start dating? After all, Karina Smirnoff had a public relationship with Mario Lopez, and the two ended their two-year relationship just six months ago.

Maks Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff reportedly started dating during the recent DWTS tour. No details yet have been revealed about a wedding date.

Both Maks and Karina return to the eight season of Dancing with the Stars when it starts March 9.
