Maybe all of that SNL MacGruber stuff has renewed interest in MacGyver – because now there are talks to bring the 80s series to the big screen. MacGyver: The Movie? Can you dig it?

New Line Cinema plans to make the MacGyver movie, based on the 1985-1992 series starring Richard Dean Anderson as secret agent extraordinaire.

New Line’s Richard Brener commented, “We think we’re a stick of chewing gum, a paper clip and an A-list writer away from a global franchise.”
