Last Night’s Recurring TV Theme
If you were to repeat a theme, what would it be?
It was rather amusing, actually. Last night, in two completely different shows on two completely different networks, there was a recurring theme. Of multiple wives.
Pushing Daisies did it all weird, with the murdered man having had four “sister” wives who knew about one another, and loved one another and were “happy and content” together. Of course, one of them did murder him – the first wife, but who can blame her? Would you want to knowingly share your man with someone else?
On the other hand, Life handled it in a very classy – and very amusing manner. When they found the dead man, they also found two IDs. One took one and one took another. Both led to a house with a now-widow. Dani called up Charlie and said, “I’m with the widow.” Charlie, looking at the woman across from him said, “Funny you should say that.” Classy and funny.
Of course, I don’t think I’d be happy either way. I just found it rather ironic that it was last night’s TV theme, as it were, I’m sure not purposefully.
