Kiefer Sutherland Sentenced to 48 Days in Jail

Kiefer Sutherland, the latest celebrity to get arrested for DUI, was handed his sentence today – the “24” star was sentenced to 48 days in jail. While Sutherland has until March 30th to complete his 48 day sentence, he decided to surrender immediately and start his sentence at the Glendale, Calfornia jail.
Kiefer Sutherland also received five years probation, required attendance of an 18-month alcohol education program and six months of weekly therapy sessions. Sutherland is expected to serve the full term, according to a statement from the L.A. County Attorney’s Office:
“Sutherland will be serving the 48 days in the Glendale City Jail, with no early release and no good time/work time credit, so we expect that he will serve the entire 48 days in jail.”
